NYC in Photos: Day 2

** Why am I standing with a cow? Well, at breakfast I ate these amazing biscuits. After we received the bill, we were given a pamphlet telling us how great it is that the restaurant uses lard (animal fat) in all of their baked items. Good thing I have been a vegetarian for 17 years... **

** If you are reading this red-haired Sephora lady, I apologize in advance. My mom had a 'makeover' at Sephora and it was horrible. The Sephora staff weren't too happy when I expressed my opinion out loud. Apparently they thought she wanted the 'street walker special'.  **

** So, we walk out of the subway and see these two guys selling a lot of different name brand perfumes for $5 each. I check the bottles they have out and see that they have 'Dolce & Gabbana' light blue (my sister's favourite). Well, when we get home and my sister opens it...not only is it cracked, it's actually 'Dona & Rahbana' Light Blue. Knew it was too good to be true. **

** The city's (and maybe world's) biggest Macy's was having a really cool flower show*

** This was one of my favourite parts of the trip. This guy named Lorenzo Lorac is so talented and plays the violin to a variety of different songs including Nelly's 'Hot in Here', 50 Cent's 'In Da Club' and 'Sweet Home Alabama'. We were sold, and bought his CD. You can check him out here (Seriously, DO IT!). **

** Note to self and others: Even if your knees are burning in pain and you don't think you can take another step, do not take the elevators at any subway station as they ALL smell of urine!! **

  10. Oh Dear Alicia, I feel sorry for your "accident" at the restaurant. I've been a vegetarian for 4 years and I always feel so frustrated if I have to go to a new place to try some new food. You will never know what is gonna be on your plate :/

  11. Alicia! When you told us that story about the biscuits made with lard at the restaurant, I had no idea that it happened in NYC! LoL! Poor thing! But you should have posted a pic of your moms "Makeover" after completion. What is really funny is that the red head comes to our food truck for food lol. And also what are those delicious treats in the last picture? Where are they from? Details! lol They look too good to eat!

  12. That looks like quite the day! I hope to visit NYC someday too. That's a shame about your mom's makeover, but at least you got a laugh out of it!
