NOTD: Essie's Funny Face

When I first bought this Essie nail polish, it was for the name alone (how cool is it that Essie named a colour after my blog?!). Since then, I have grown to love the bright pink colour, and have been wearing this polish on my fingers and toes for the past week. In my opinion Essie makes the best nail polish as their polishes seem to last and remain chip-free longer than other polishes I have used.

NYC in Photos: Day 4 (Final Day)

** These were the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. I dream about going back to NYC just so I can eat more cupcakes. If you are ever in NYC you need to visit Crumbs Bakery **

** This was my first broadway musical. The play itself was pretty good, but the main actor had such an annoying voice making it was hard to concentrate on anything else. **

** Dylan's Candy Bar was candy heaven! They had every type of candy imaginable, a chocolate fountain, and a sundae bar. **

** The view while driving over the Brooklyn Bridge. This is my last shot from my NYC trip. It was a great trip and I hope you enjoyed seeing my pictures **

NYC in Photos: Day 3

** Recognize these famous steps? This is where Carrie Bradshaw lived! **

** The famous Magnolia Bakery (also featured on Sex and the City). Locals hate it, visitors love it. The cupcakes were pretty good but definitely not the best I've tried. **

** I am scared of birds (especially pigeons) but I couldn't leave NYC without a picture of these creepy looking animals **

** The original NARS store. Unfortunately they wouldn't let me take pictures inside. **

** Who knew Marc Jacobs had a book store?! **

** There was a bigger lineup to get into the Khardashian sisters' store than there was to get into IMATS. Needless to say, I wasn't willing to stand in line for 2 hours just to look inside **

** The world's biggest Macy's was amazing. I've never seen a bigger plus size collection of clothing in one place. **

Beauty Quote of the Week # 35

Zest is the secret of all beauty. There is no beauty that is attractive without zest.

NYC in Photos: Day 2

** Why am I standing with a cow? Well, at breakfast I ate these amazing biscuits. After we received the bill, we were given a pamphlet telling us how great it is that the restaurant uses lard (animal fat) in all of their baked items. Good thing I have been a vegetarian for 17 years... **

** If you are reading this red-haired Sephora lady, I apologize in advance. My mom had a 'makeover' at Sephora and it was horrible. The Sephora staff weren't too happy when I expressed my opinion out loud. Apparently they thought she wanted the 'street walker special'.  **

** So, we walk out of the subway and see these two guys selling a lot of different name brand perfumes for $5 each. I check the bottles they have out and see that they have 'Dolce & Gabbana' light blue (my sister's favourite). Well, when we get home and my sister opens it...not only is it cracked, it's actually 'Dona & Rahbana' Light Blue. Knew it was too good to be true. **

** The city's (and maybe world's) biggest Macy's was having a really cool flower show*

** This was one of my favourite parts of the trip. This guy named Lorenzo Lorac is so talented and plays the violin to a variety of different songs including Nelly's 'Hot in Here', 50 Cent's 'In Da Club' and 'Sweet Home Alabama'. We were sold, and bought his CD. You can check him out here (Seriously, DO IT!). **

** Note to self and others: Even if your knees are burning in pain and you don't think you can take another step, do not take the elevators at any subway station as they ALL smell of urine!! **
