Yesterday MAC Cosmetics released four (yes, four) new Spring 2012 collections. Being the type who, in the past, bought into the hype of every new MAC Collection, only to end up with products I didn't even really like, I have tried to steer clear of all of the recent collections released. However, when I saw that MAC was releasing 'Tres Cheek', a collection of six brand new blushes, I just couldn't resist.
Luckily, I was able to get my local MAC counter to put two of the blushes (Modern Mandarin and Immortal Flower) from that collection on hold, because when I arrived there yesterday (two hours after the opened) both blushes had been sold out. While there, I also picked up a beautiful coral gloss from the new 'Reel Sexy' collection. I am definitely in love with everything I bought (I tried them all this morning), and wanted to share my mini MAC haul with you.
MAC Blush in 'Modern Mandarin':
This bright orange blush, with a very subtle sheen, is the perfect cheek colour for Spring and Summer. This blush is one of MAC's 'Satin' blushes, meaning it has no glitter or shimmer, but gives the cheeks a nice healthy looking glow. This blush is super pigmented, so a little goes a very long way.
MAC Blush in 'Immortal Flower':
I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful this light peachy-pink, creamsicle-like, blush is. This is the perfect Spring blush for fair skin tones (I'm not sure if it would work on darker tones) and gives the cheeks a gorgeous, yet subtle, hint of colour. Unfortunately, this blush is currently sold out on MAC's Canadian website, but if you have a chance to get your hands on it, don't pass it up!
MAC Cremesheen Glass in 'Star Quality':
I am a big fan of MAC's Creamsheen Glosses because they are extremely moisturizing, not at all sticky and tend to last longer than a lot of the other glosses I have tried. Surprisingly, Star Quality is unlike anything else I own. This bright coral-pink gloss, appears to be almost neon in colour and, because it is so pigmented, what you see in the tube, is exactly what you get on your lips.
