** While I am away in Nashville, I have asked some of my fellow beauty bloggers to write guest posts for Funny Face Beauty. Today's guest post is from Marta of Chit Chat Nails. Marta is a crazy talented nail artist, who I've had the privilege to meet (she lives in the same city) and have my nails done by. If you are looking for nail inspiration, you need to check out Marta's blog! **
Hello Lovely Ladies,
I'm Marta and I run a little Canadian nailart blog called ChitChat Nails. I am excited to be here ONCE AGAIN (my third time?... but who is counting right? ;) ).
Alicia and I both live in London Ontario and she has visited me a couple of times AND offered me the opportunity to guestpost here for you :D I am honored to have this opportunity!
The last two looks that I brought, when Alicia invited me to do a guest post, were done with the aid of nail stamping; while I love stamped manicures, there are other simpler ways that I resort to to 'spruce up' a plain manicure. Accent-nails are one such way. Anyone can pull off an Accent-nail look! All you need are two different shades of polish. These can be as complimentary or as contrasting as you like! Most often, the accent nail is the ring finger.
When I was younger (much younger) and was still learning the rules of how to dress myself, I remember being told over and over that pink and red do not vibe well with one another. Since then, when wearing pink I always avoided red additions/accents (and vice versa). Well, I'm and old woman now (30 and counting), and I am scrapping those rules... the end result: an accent nail manicure that I really quite enjoyed!!!
The red shade is Zoya "Sookie" while the pink is the Nicki Minaj OPI shade called "Pink Friday".
I'm not too sure whether I was the only one who was taught the pink/red rule or not... but it seems like StrawberryShortcake sure pulled it off splendidly ;)
Have you tried the accent nail look? Do you have a favorite pairing that you really enjoy?
THANK YOU FOR READING!
