Hey Everyone,
The other day I was looking back at all of my old photos and honestly couldn't believe some of my fashion and beauty choices over the past few years. Below I have compiled a few of my 'favourite' photos to show you what I am talking about, and hopefully give you a little laugh.
Lashes, lashes and more lashes...I look surprised in every photo.
Shirley Temple curls were so not my thing....
The short, choppy, and uneven bangs are not working for me. Also, the almost black hair does not work with my pale skin.
My sister looks awesome, but the orange-red hair, blonde roots and Snooki-poof did nothing for me.
Bleach blonde on top, dark brown on the bottom. I still can't believe I thought my 'skunk hair' was cool.
Note to self: Adding red streaks to 'skunk hair' doesn't make it look any better.
I've always prided myself on my ability to accessorize any outfit. Unfortunately the teal driving hat, beaded necklace and gaudy gold tassel earrings are not a great combo.
I know that bold lips/bold eyes are back in fashion, but the bright purple shadow and super glossy red lips just do not work together. The cowboy hat takes it over the top.
This picture is all kinds of wrong. A 'Betty Rubble' necklace, plastic bangle, babydoll shirt dress and jackie-o sunglasses?! No words...
When I showed this picture to every member of my family, they all said the same thing "What were you thinking?!". Lace leggings and a ripped denim skirt...NO!!

Hey I like your short choppy dark hair! I think it was cute! I remember when skunk hair was all the rage, but I didn't brave it because I didn't know how it'd turn out on an Asian, now looking back, it probably was a good thing I didn't try! I also remember wearing ripped jean skirts and lace leggings, I luckily don't have any pictures of myself in them--- but I do have pictures of me wearing the ugliest converse sneakers with black leggings and a volcom top that was way too short and thinking I was such a punk. ew.
ReplyDeleteThanks. No I would not recommend the skunk hair. Bleaching your hair is never a great option for healthy hair. It took awhile for my hair to get back to normal. xx

DeleteI like the skunk hair, lol. I also really like your bangs from when we were at Harry's! I'm glad you dug up the jean skirt and leggings...I don't think I've ever seen you wear leggings before!

Deletewe all do things and make changes and realise after some time... why the hell did we do that... why would i wear something like that. We all learn and we never do it again... however at least at the time we loved what we did :) We were happy with the way we looked and the way we dressed :p It's like me looking back a couple of years and thinking what horrendous makeup I have on :p

lol this was awesome! I remember in my 'rebel-ish teen years', I would layer on about a million coats of the darkest, thickest mascara I could find until it all clumped together, and I used to put so much foundation on, and didn't fill in my brows, so it looked like I didn't even have any! haha. I don't even want to think about what fashion disasters I had...xx

ReplyDeleteA lot of my bad choices mostly involved bad makeup application, not filling in my brows, etc. I've learned so much the past couple years by reading beauty blogs!
Skunk hair is actually back in. The top and bottom hair in different colours are so fashionable right now.
