This fall, Canadian cosmetic company, Caryl Baker Visage has a number of new products to introduce as part of their new 'Uptown Girl' collection. Included in this new collection, are three colour stories (Midtown Morning, Power Lunch and After Hours), which feature an eyeshadow trio, eyeliner, blush, lipstick and lip gloss, and give customers the ability to create beautiful, seasonal looks for both day and night.
Thanks to Caryl Baker Visage, I was able to play with 'Midtown Morning', a gorgeous collection of neutral and rosy shades which, for me, are a nice change from all of the bold and bright colours I have been wearing this summer. Below are more details on the 'Midtown Morning' colour story, including swatches and a FOTD look.
Caryl Baker Ultimate Eyeliner in 'Occult':
This limited edition eyeliner is super creamy and easy to blend, and because of it's softer texture, glides on easily without any pulling or tugging of the lash line. While I am not usually a fan of 'glittery' eye products, this dark charcoal eyeliner laced with purple and pink glitter is, in my opinion, perfect for a special night out on the town.
Caryl Baker Mineral Eyeshadow Trio in 'Gingerbread Latte',
'Check Please' and 'In Transit':
With two mineral shadows from their regular line, and one new mineral shadow, the 'Midtown Morning' eyeshadow palette is perfect for both day and night. The trio, which showcases three super soft, and very pigmented, eyeshadows, contains the following: 'Gingerbread Latte', a shimmering champagne beige, 'Check Please', a shimmering taupe with purple undertones, and 'In Transit, a matte brown-grey with purple undertones. These shadows were super easy to work with and lasted nicely throughout the day.
Caryl Baker Blush in 'Slept In':
This deep rose blush with purple undertones is probably my favourite piece from the 'Midtown Morning' collection. This matte blush, which gives the face a nice, "I just took a brisk walk on chilly day" look, is rich, creamy and super blend-able. For those who prefer a less bold look , this blush can be applied lightly for a sheer wash of colour. Personally, however, I love to slap it on for a more dramatic look.
Caryl Baker Lipstick in 'Morning After':
This completely matte, rosy-nude lipstick is the perfect colour for achieving that 'my lips but better look'. Unlike a lot of the matte lipsticks I have tried, 'Morning After' is fairly creamy, leaving the lips feeling well hydrated. Like the other Caryl Baker lipsticks I have tried, 'Morning After' is uniquely packaged with a mirror for 'on the go' touchups.
Caryl Baker City Slickers Lip Gloss in 'Rodeo Drive':
This rosy-nude lipgloss is a part of Caryl Baker's brand new 'City Slickers' lip gloss line, which uses 'cutting edge technology [to] combine the payoff of a sheer lipstick with the superior shine of a gloss'. With a super high sheen, a nice minty scent and argan oil to help hydrate the lips, I can definitely see 'Rodeo Drive' becoming one of my new favourite lip glosses for Fall.
