Essie Yogaga Collection: 'Marathin' and 'Boxer Shorts'

Hey Everyone,

Earlier this month, Essie released one of their new fall collections, Yogaga, a 'fitness themed' line of polishes featuring the following six soft, calming and, mostly neutral, shades:

* Boxer Shorts: A winning blue.
* Gym Dandy: A motivated grey brown.
* Marathin: A fit rosy pink.
* Pilates Hottie: A zen like lilac.
* Spinning Again: A driven brick red.
* Yogaga: A peaceful sandy beige.

While I would have liked to get my hands on all six polishes, I showed surprising restraint and chose the two shades, I, personally, felt were the most unique.

Marathin:
While Essie describes 'Marathin' as a rosy pink, I personally would describe it as a dusty, neutral pink with both brown and purple undertones. This polish is super creamy and well pigmented, requiring two light coats for an opaque, super glossy finish (you could get away with one thicker coat if preferred). I love love love this colour for fall, but believe it will also work nicely for spring, summer and winter.

Boxer Shorts
This periwinkle blue polish with grey undertones is definitely my favourite from the collection. 'Boxer Shorts' is unlike anything I currently own appearing more blue than Essie's 'Lilacism', and more purple than Essie's 'Lapis of Luxury'. Like Marathin, this polish is very pigmented and creamy, allowing for an opaque finish in just two, fairly thin, coats. This colour is one I would most likely wear during the spring and summer months, however I can see it working nicely during the earlier part of fall.

Have you tried any of the polishes from the new Essie 'Yogaga' collection? Do you want to? Which of the six shades would you be most likely to pick up? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below.
