L'Oreal Canada's TIFF Festival '12 Simply Chic Collection (Swatches+FOTD)

Hey Everyone,

I can't believe it's already the time of year that students start buying their back to school clothes, trees start shedding their leaves, and Toronto starts preparing for the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). To ensure that all Canadians (even those who don't live near Toronto) feel included in TIFF 2012, L'Oreal, one of TIFF's major sponsors, has created the limited edition, Tiff Festival '12 Simply Chic cosmetic collection.

The nine piece collection, which includes two face products, three lip products, three eye products and one nail product, is aimed at achieving a natural, yet chic and glamourous look, perfect for the red carpet or a quiet night out on the town with friends. Below is more information on each product in the collection, including swatches, and a TIFF Festival '12 Simply Chic Face of the Day look.

Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream:
As L'Oreal's first 4 in 1 BB Cream, the Magic Beautifier BB Cream helps prime, perfect, hydrate and correct skin for a flawless, natural finish. Unlike the majority of the BB creams currently on the market, L'Oreal's Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream comes out white with smally, grainy beautifying beads that match skin's natural tone when blended.

L'Oreal Paris Magic Smooth Souffle Blush in 'Angelic':
This gorgeous peachy-pink whipped blush blends nicely into the cheeks creating a well pigmented, silicone-feeling finish. This colour is perfect for summer, but will also carry over nicely into the fall.

Colour Riche Lip Liner in 'Beyond Pink':
This nude-pink lip liner is not only the perfect match for the lipsticks in this collection (see photo below), it works nicely with a number of lip colours including dusty pinks, corals, nudes and browns. This retractable lip liner (no sharpener needed) has anti-feathering properties, which help lipstick from spreading outside the lip line.

Colour Riche Lip Colour in 'Peach Fuzz' and 'Golden Splendor'
Peach Fuzz, a stunning frosted peach and Golden Splendor, a light frosted gold, give the lips a natural, yet shimmery look. These lipsticks are extremely moisturizing and leave the lips feeling smooth and hydrated.

Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in 'Black':
This chunky, black, kajal-like eyeliner is perfect for creating any sexy, smoldering and smoky eyed look. This pencil works well on both the upper and inner lash lines, although some smudging does occur throughout the day (a look I personally enjoy).

La Couleur Infalliable Eye Shadow in 'Pepsy Coral':
A new addition to L'Oreal's amazingly smooth, and very pigmented, line of Infalliable eyeshadow, Pepsy Coral is a gorgeous light peach laced with shimmering gold. When worn with a primer, this shadow lasts throughout the day, giving the eyes a beautiful glow.

The TIFF Festival '12 Simply Chic Collection also includes L'Oreal's Voluminous Power 24 Hour Mascara in Blackest Black, as well as L'Oreal's Colour Riche Nail Colour in Red Tote, a bold, brick-red.

All nine products retail between $10.99 and $16.99 CND and can be purchased at the L'Oreal Paris Red Carpet Beauty Lounge in Toronto, as well drugstores and mass-retailers throughout Canada at the end of August.

    1. The one I have is too dark for my skin, so I really can't say. I have heard a lot of great things though and its supposed to change to match the colour of your skin. xx
