My Favourite Things of Summer (Guest Post)

My favourite Things of Summer

Summer is my favourite time of year!  This year I’m obsessed with anything sea inspired, bold prints, coral and neon colours.  I wanted to share a couple of my summer “must haves” with you.  With the summer shopping season coming to an end a lot of the things on my list can be found on sale! That is always music to my ears, I love a good sale!

Hydrating your lips is an absolute must when outside on those hot summer days.  My lips always feel like they’re getting a drink with Burt’s Bees original lip chap.  All natural, with a hint of peppermint, Burt’s Bees is my go to lip chap.

My days off are primarily spent in my bathing suit so it’s crucial I find something that I feel fabulous in!  I own several Christina Swimsuits and I love their styles, colours and patterns.  This one is my latest bathing suit purchase.  I love the tropical feel of the print and the swim dress is very flattering.  I also love the cute jacket that is an option I took advantage of! 

And what is a day around the pool without a plush over-size beach towel.  I couldn’t resist purchasing these Nautica beach towels, now on sale at The Bay for $20 regular $40!

Spending a lot of time outside sometimes requires a break from the sun when there is no shade to be found.  I immediately jumped when I found this Nine West packable large floppy hat.  It comes in a variety of natural shades and is the perfect addition to a day at the beach.

When I’m not at the beach I will most likely be caught in a flowing Maxi Dress.  I purchased 2 this summer I absolutely adore both from Jessica Simpson at The Bay. 

Adding a little bit of sparkle to a hot summer day is easy with a couple of my favourite pieces from Stella & Dot.  I love these cute starfish earrings and think they are worth every bit of $39.  Get them while you can because these little gems are discontinued.  I also have a love affair with this basic long necklace 3’s a Charm.  Simple yet stylish and goes well with everything!

I don’t like to wear a lot of make-up in the summer but one thing I never go without is blush.  I love the slightly rosy glow and it’s so easy to achieve with “The Colour of the Year” Blush Duo from Shepora.  Beautiful combination of a matte and shimmer coral colour.

There are so many great festivals in the summer months and carrying a heavy oversized purse is pointless when there are so many great cross-body purses.  I absolutely love every colour this one comes in from Danier leather.  I plan on purchasing the pink one very soon because it’s now on sale for $69, regular $99.

A cute summer sandal is an absolute must! I love these Steve Madden wedges in the neon multi.  I currently own the gold and tan ones and I wear them with everything.  Comfortable, sexy and stylish is hard to find!
