Hello Lovely Ladies, I am thankful that Alicia invited me back to do another nail-post for you. Sometimes I devote a lot of time to creating a complex nail-art look, but I like the simple manicures just as much, if not a little more. Today's look IS a simple one and it incorporates a lot of my 'favourites' which I think are fitting for the fall season :D
I painted all of my nails (except the accent nail) with two coats of my favorite light blue shade: Cult Nails "Princess" (LINK:http://shop.cultnails.com/Princess-812.htm). This is a dusty pale blue leaning periwinkle with the most beautiful copper flakie bits. I absolutely love this shade to bits! For the accent nail I painted one coat of Sally Hansen "Whirlwind White" and stamped the hounds-tooth print using Bundle Monster plate BM-322. I covered the accent nail with Enchanted Polish "Secret Sauce" (LINK:http://www.harlowandco.org/collections/enchanted-polish) to give it that gold-red-green shimmer.
I continue to really enjoy the accent nail look! If you are not into stamping, you can create an accent nail by painting one nail, or two, with a complimentary/contrasting color OR by applying one of those full nail decals (that are popping up everywhere) to only one nail. This gives your manicure a 'funky' twist AND will make your nail decals last longer ;)
I hope you enjoyed this look today. I wore this a while back and when I was preparing the photos for this post I felt the urge to re-create this look again :D Something about houndstooth and the early fall weather just seem to go together so well, right!?... and now I'm thinking of a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte ;)
