Hey Everyone,
With summer officially over (the cold weather is here), I have put away my bright pink and coral blushes, for something a little more natural looking: Nude Blushes! While I do enjoy a bright cheek, nude blushes are always a favourite as they look great with a variety of eyeshadow looks, warm up the skin, and give the face a very natural looking glow. Below are five of my favourite nude blushes:
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in 'Exposed':
This creamy nude-brown blush with pink and orange undertones, applies smoothly, giving the cheeks a very natural, warm and somewhat bronzed look. While this blush doesn't live up its 12 hour claim, it does last nicely throughout the day, even on my somewhat oily face.
MAC Blush in 'Blush All Day':
This nude pink blush with both brown and purple undertones, is by far my favourite nude blush. This blush is super creamy, very pigmented, easy to blend, and gives the cheeks a very natural, somewhat rosy, glow.
Rimmel London Blush in 'Bronze':
This light brown blush with peach undertones and fine silver shimmer, works nicely as both a blush and bronzer. This blush is less pigmented than a lot of the other blushes I own, so a heavy hand is required to achieve a natural, bronzed look.
MAC Blush in 'The Perfect Cheek':
This matte, light pinky-brown blush with purple undertones, is a newly re-discovered favourite thanks to the recent release of MAC's Marilyn Monroe collection (this blush was a re-promote). This blush is very creamy, gives the cheeks a nice, light rosy glow and looks great with a variety of eyeshadow looks.
MAC Blush in 'Prim & Proper':
This peachy-brown blush with orange undertones, and finely milled gold shimmer, is the perfect blush for fall. This blush is great for warming up any look (I like to pair it with a cool smoky eye), and gives the face a really pretty glow (the blush itself has a nice, light sheen).
