L'Oreal Spring 2013 Preview

Hey Everyone,

With the holidays now officially over, many beauty brands are starting to showcae, and release, their Spring 2013 collections. One such company is L'Oreal Paris Canada, as they plan to release over 80 new products and shades early this year.

Last month I had the opportunity to attend L'Oreal's Holiday/Spring 2013 release party where I was able to see, and swatch, many of their new products. Below is more information on some of the new items L'Oreal is set to release for Spring 2013.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quads ($11.99 CND):
L'Oreal's new 'Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quads' feature 'four expertly harmonized colours in a single irresistible gold case'. Made up of micro-milled pigments, each eyeshadow has an incredibly smooth and silky texture. From neutral beige and browns to bold purples and neon greens, there is something for everyone, as L'Oreal plans to release 20 different coloured quads this month.

L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara ($12.99 CND):
With a specially designed 'lash hugging' thin plastic brush designed to 'fit the contour of the eye line' as well as a 'next-generation lengthening formula', L'Oreal's new Telescopic Mascara is designed to define and lengthen each individual lash for a dramatic false lash effect. Available in both waterproof and non-waterproof, L'Oreal's 'Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara', which comes in 'black', 'blackest black' and 'brown', is set to hit stores this month.

L'Oreal Age Perfect Instant Glow BB Cream ($26.99 CND):
Created for mature women, L'Oreal's new 'Age Perfect Instant Glow BB Cream' provides the skin with deep hydration, and a healthy, natural-looking glow. The new BB cream, which offers 'five beautifying actions in one skincare product', nourishes, replenishes, evens, perfects and boosts the radiance of skin. Continued use of L'Oreal's 'Age Perfect Instant Glow BB Cream' results in a reductions of age spots, more toned skin, and a diminish in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Featuring Vitamin C, Soy Proteins and Calcium Complex, L'Oreal's newest BB cream will hit shelves next month.

L'Oreal Visible Lift Colour Blush ($16.99 CND):
L'Oreal's new 'Visible Lift Colour Blush' is the latest product in their Visible Lift line, and uses Tourmaline, 'one of nature's most naturally energizing minerals', to lift and add radiance to aging skin. With a light-weight, springy, mousse-like texture, this blush was made to give skin a beautiful glow without settling into fine lines. Offered in six  shades, this blush is set to hit shelves this month.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Shine Lipcolour ($12.99 CND):
As part of their popular Caresse line, L'Oreal introduces 'Colour Riche Caresse Shine Stain Lipcolour', a hybrid between a gloss and a stain, that uses a formula 'made up of 30% water combined with light shine oils' to give lips a subtle shine and long lasting colour. Extremely similar to YSL's 'Glossy Stains' (think less pigmentation, but more moisture), L'Oreal is set to release 12 shades of their 'Colour Riche Caresse Shine Lipcolour' this month.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Colour ($6.99 CND):
Adding to their already well-known 'Colour Riche' nail polish line, L'Oreal introduces eight new shades for Spring 2013. Selected to reflect Pantone's S/S 2013 fashion trend report, each new shade features a 'new multi-patented curved applicator [made to] perfectly [match] the nail shape for both high precision, and ultra-easy application'. All eight shades are set to hit shelves this month.

L'Oreal Men Expert Anti-Age Force Lifting and Fortifying Serum ($15.99 CND):
Marketed as the 'viagra' of men's skincare, L'Oreal's new 'Men Expert Anti-Age Force Lifting and Fortifying Serum' provides skin with an instant lifting effect, making it 'visibly stronger and immediately more toned'. With a light cologne scent, this serum is set to hit stores next month.

L'Oreal 'Revitalift Miracle Blur' ($29.99):
L'Oreal's newest skin care product uses 'Opti-Blur' technology to 'instantly fade away pesky fine lines, wrinkles and pores, reduce excess oil and even out skintone for a radiant and smooth complexion'. Made with silica (a mineral which contains 1% silicone and 99% oxygen), this light weight, silky cream, which provides a great base for makeup, is set to be released next month.

L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Colour Gloss Haircolour ($11.99 CND):
With a new formula that 'delivers richer colour while softly blending away greys without a drop of ammonia', L'Oreal introduces 28 shades of their popular 'Healthy Look Creme Colour Gloss Haircolour' line. The new formula, which is rich in anti-oxidents, removes free radicals and is hypo allergenic, will hit shelves next month.

L'Oreal Power Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner ($5.99 CND/each):
L'Oreal's new line of power moisture hair care (which also includes a hair mask), has 10 x more moisture than traditional hydrating shampoos and conditioners, and 'provides hair with an instant infusion of moisture, leaving hair silky, soft, shiny, and well hydrated overtime'. Featuring moisturizing ingredients like Hyaluronate and Arginine-K Complex, the Power Moisture line is set to be released next month.

L'Oreal Elnett Satin Heat Sprays ($9.99 CND):
Wanting to expand their line of Elnett Satin hairsprays, L'Oreal introduces their new, non-aerosol Elnett heat sprays. With three formulas (straight, volume, and curl), these heat sprays 'protect hair from styling tools up to 230 degrees celsius, locking in shape and style for three days'. The sprays which 'feature Elnett's classic, fine, micro-diffusion spray technology and impeccable finish', are currently in stores.

  1. Thanks for sharing- I particularly hope to see the Elnett spray come Stateside. I use the hairspray (although I HATE the spray tab, it breaks) I love the product. Thanks for the review. Hope to see swatches too :)

  2. I agree with hoping the Elnett spray will be offered in the US sometime soon. I have a few friends in Europe that rave about it and I'd love to try it myself!
