Hey Everyone,
A couple of weeks ago, my good friend Amber of Canadian Fashionista, and I had the privilege of attending an event held by John Frieda for the launch of their new 'Luxurious Volume' collection.
Amber and I
The collection, which features seven hair care products, including a shampoo, conditioner, two blow dry sprays, a mousse, and hairspray and a dry shampoo, uses 'new and innovation formulas specifically designed to add grip to fine, flat hair' leaving hair soft, voluminous, full of body and not at all crunchy or weighed-down.
Expert stylist Alain Laviree was on hand at the event and used two live models to show us how to properly use new each product, as well as the overall effect of the new line on very fine, limp hair.

The line, which is now available in drugstores across Canada, consists of the following seven products:
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 'Touchably Full Shampoo' ($10.49 CND):
This new, lightweight shampoo has a patented formula that gently cleanses fine hair, while applying volume boosters that are 'activated during blow dry to enhance hair's natural volume for hair that feels naturally full and soft'.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 'Touchably Full Conditioner' ($10.49 CND):
Like the 'Touchably Full Shampoo', this lightweight conditioner uses a special volume-building technology that is activated during blow dry, leaving hair flat hair shiny, smooth and full of body.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 'Fine to Full Blow-Out Spray' ($14.99 CND):
With an easy to use spray head, John Frieda's latest blow out spray uses Kao polymer technology to transform fine hair making it appear noticeably fuller, softer and smoother'.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 'Root Booster Blow Dry Lotion' ($10.49 CND):
This light-weight lotion, formulated with a targeted lifting complex, lifts fine hair at the roots giving it extra volume that lasts throughout the day, while protecting it from the damaging effects of daily heat styling.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 'All Day Hold Hairspray' ($10.49 CND):
This water-free, silicone-based, ultra fine hairspray contains 'a high hold polymer' that protects hair from humidity and locks in fullness and volume, ensuring that hair remains voluminous and soft all day.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 'Volume Building Mousse' ($10.49 CND):
With a thickening technology that increases hair diameter and lifts roots, John Frieda's new 'Volume Building Mousse' creates thickness by 'wrapping strands and boosting volume from root to tip for soft, lush hair'.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 'Refresher Dry Shampoo' ($10.49 CND):
Formulated to absorb oil without weighing hair down, this dry shampoo boosts hair volume, adding texture and fullness to fine hair, without any visible signs of white-build up residue.
Having super thick, very full hair (think a Lion's mane), this particular line of hair products isn't really for me. My mom, on the other hand, has very fine, often limp-looking hair and is, therefore, in the process of testing these new products out.
So far, she really likes the 'Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner. She finds that both products make her hair feel thicker and fuller, and can see a noticeable difference in terms of volume. On the other hand, while she found that the 'Root Booster Blow Dry Lotion' made her hair feel thicker, she also found that it gave her hair a coarse texture that she did not like. She is continuing to try all of the products in the new John Frieda 'Luxurious Volume' line, and I will be sure to update you with the results.
Do you plan on trying any of the products from the new John Frieda 'Luxurious Volume' line? Is your hair naturally thick or do you need a product that adds volume to thin, limp hair? What are your favourite John Frieda hair care products? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below.

I'm looking forward to trying some of this range, my hair is so thin and flat and sad! I love John Frieda products, so this will hopefully be a big win for me. Love your pink clutch btw xx

Thanks! I definitely think you will love the shampoo and conditioner. One my best friends uses the mousse daily and says she loves it too. There was an undeniable transformation on the live models. If you do try it, definitely let me know what you think. xx
Deletethank you so much, I will definitely give a try to the Hairspray (or maybe the blow out? I'm not sure..., I heard it works really well. The only product I already tried is the dry shampoo. I don't like the smell and it doesn't work for me. I'm curious about the shampoo and conditionner. Do you know if the smell is good ? xx
ReplyDeleteI've heard the mousse works really well and my mom really liked the shampoo and conditioner. Just ran to the bathroom to smell them. They smell pretty good in my opinion. Quite fruity which I like. xx
