Hey Everyone,
As a single, and somewhat cynical girl, I've never been one to celebrate Valentines Day. Sure, the combination of pink, red, and anything with hearts makes my girly side swoon, but you usually won't find me giving or receiving Valentines Day presents to family and friends. Of course, there is an exception to every rule, and in this case, the 'exception' is buying me, myself and I a little something-something.
Well, don't worry ladies (both single and taken), this year, I have a great Valentines Day gift idea that is sure to please any chocolate loving, beauty fiend, The Body Shop's new 'Deluxe Chocomania' Collection. This heavenly, chocolate-scented collection (it smells so good!) features several of their best selling products including the following:
The Body Shop 'Chocomania Lip Butter' ($10/10ml):
Infused with real cocoa butter, this chocolate scented lip butter hydrates lips making them smooth, soft and smooch-ready. Despite it's 'butter' name, this lip balm has a very lightweight texture that gives lips a slight sheen without looking too greasy or 'wet'. Of course, in the name of true beauty journalism, I had to take a little lick after applying it, and while I wouldn't suggest you mow down on an entire tub, it does taste like chocolate. Yum!
The Body Shop 'Chocomania Body Lotion' ($12/250ml):
Unlike its thicker, richer sibling, the body butter, The Body Shop's Chocomania Body Lotion has a thin, non-sticky, and very hydrating texture. Enriched with Community Fair Trade cocoa butter, this lotion leaves skin (including hands) silky, soft, supple and smooth (say that ten times fast). This is the first time I have ever tried one of The Body Shop's lotions (I usually buy their body butters), and I have to say I am really impressed.
The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter ($6/50ml, $20/250ml):
With 13 Community Fair trade products including cocoa butter, soja oil and coconut oil, The Body Shop's Chocomania Body Butter envelops skin in a thick, rich coat of moisture that keeps it hydrated for up to 48 hours. Like all of the body butters I have tried, this has a slightly shiny (not greasy) finish, which gives skin a healthy-looking glow.
The Body Shop Chocomania Sugar Body Scrub ($19/200ml):
The Body Shop's Chocomania Sugar Body Scrub contains both organic cane sugar and real cocoa butter, that work together to exfoliate the skin (goodbye dead skin cells), while keeping it soft and hydrated. In my opinion, this is the best smelling product from the collection, and I would be lying if I said I didn't want to take a big scoop of it and eat it (it looks, and smells, exactly like brownie batter).
The Body Shop's Deluxe Chocomania Collection, which is currently both online and in stores, also includes a body soap and a shower gel.
With great prices (I love that the Canadian prices are the same as the US prices), and a perfectly 'festive' scent, The Body Shop's new Chocomania Collection really is the perfect Valentines Day gift (I will definitely be treating myself to more items).
Have you tried The Body Shop's new Chocomania Collection? Do you want to? What is your all time favourite Body Shop product? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below.
xx
