NOTD: Sally Hansen 'Out of Line' Nail Polish Strips

Hey Everyone,

Lately, I have been absolutely obsessed with all of the tribal nail art trends I have been seeing on instagram, the fashion runways, etc. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I can barely paint my own nails, let alone try any sort of actual nail art, I haven't been able to participate in this new trend. That is until today, when I came across a box of Sally Hansen's 'Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips' shoved in one of my makeup drawers.

With a white background and various brightly coloured lines and triangles, these strips make for the perfect tribal-esque look. While I have had a lot of difficulty with various nail strips in the past, I found these surprisingly easy to use as they are very thin, not too sticky and easy to mould to your nail's natural shape.

Personally, I am absolutely in love with the overall look, and if it weren't for the fact that I'm not sure these strips would last without tears or rips for more than a week, I would definitely wear these to Nashville when I hit up CMA Fest in June (yes, I am already planning my nail look).

Have you tried Sally Hansen's Salon Effects nail strips? Do you want to? What do you think of the new tribal nail art trend? Any other polish strips you think I need to try? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below.

Orly 'Mash Up' Collection

Hey Everyone,

With a mix of neons, pastels, metallics and glitters, Orly's new 'Mash Up' collection, set to release next month, playfully combines a variety of colours and textures for a unique summertime feel.

"Take risks. Rock opposites. Start a riot with envy inciting style. Now's the time to blur the line between energetic and outrageous-with Mash-Up, the new Summer 2013 colour collection from Orly. Turn up the heat to the extreme, with hyper-brights and high-attitude hues that work the weird and wonderful with wild abandon.'

Like all of Orly's nail polishes, the polishes in the 'Mash Up' collection are DBP, Toluene and Formeldahyde free and are not tested on animals.

Below is more information on, and swatches of, five of the six polishes from the new 'Mash Up' collection:

Orly Nail Polish in 'Harmonious Mess':
A light lavender cream, with heavy blue undertones, 'Harmonious Mess' is well pigmented and non-streaky, allowing for an opaque, high-shine finish in two coats.

Orly Nail Polish in 'Choreographed Chaos':
A bright, bubble-gum pink cream with an iridescent blue-purple sheen, 'Choreographed Chaos' is the perfect colour for Summer. While this polish has a fairly thin consistency, it is not streaky, and applies opaquely in two to three coats.

Orly Nail Polish in 'Pretty-Ugly':
A light blue cream with very finely milled teal-blue shimmer, 'Pretty-Ugly' is unfortunately the least pigmented polish from the collection requiring at least three coats for a non-streaky, opaque finish.

Orly Nail Polish in 'Mayhem Mentality':
An insanely bright neon-orange cream (think traffic cone orange), this intensely pigmented polish is definitely my favourite from the new collection, as it applies opaquely in just one coat.

Orly Nail Polish in 'Beautiful Disaster':
A slightly metallic purple with an iridescent copper sheen and finely milled purple shimmer, 'Beautiful Disaster' looks great on both fingers and toes and applies opaquely in two coats.

Will you be picking anything up from the new Orly 'Mash Up' collection? Which of the shades above would you most like to get your hands on? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below.

NEW Soap and Glory 'Butter Yourself' Body Cream

Hey Everyone,

As you probably already know, I am a HUGE Soap & Glory addict fan. Not only do their products smell absolutely amazing, all of the items I have tried from the line have been incredibly moisturizing, and well, just ridiculously cute (look at the packaging!).

One of my all time favourite products from the Soap and Glory line is their 'Righteous Butter' body butter, a shea butter infused body cream, that applies thickly and leaves skin feeling hydrated all day long. So, when I was sent Soap and Glory's  new shea butter infused 'Butter Yourself: Five Fruits Super Rich Smoothing Body Cream' recently, I couldn't wait to give it a try.

'Butter Yourself' body cream, which contains exfoliating AHAs, Shea Butter, Orange Waterjuice, Peppermint Oil and Fruitliquid Fig, is thick and creamy, melting into the skin for all day hydration and a natural looking, non-greasy glow.

Unlike 'Righteous Butter', which is scented with Soap and Glory's 'Original Pink' scent, 'Butter Yourself' is scented with Soap and Glory's new 'Fruitigo Fragrance' which combines notes of frozen yuzu, orange oil, green fig and jungle pompelmo essence for a citrusy (think grapefruit), perfect for Summer smell.

After trying the new 'Butter Yourself' body cream out for a few weeks, I can absolutely say I love it just as much as my prized 'Righteous Butter'. It is incredibly moisturizing, helping get rid of the small, dry red bumps I get on my arms during the colder months, feels rich and creamy on the skin, and smells absolutely divine.

The new Soap and Glory 'Butter Yourself: Five Fruits Super Rich Smoothing Body Cream' retails for $20CND/300ml and can be purchased both online and in Shoppers Drug Mart stores.

Are you a Soap and Glory addict like me? What is your all time favourite Soap and Glory product? Will you be trying the new Soap and Glory 'Butter Yourself' body cream? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below.

Dior 'Addict Glosses' (Review+Swatches)

Hey Everyone,

High-end beauty brand, Dior, recently released a new collection of Dior Addict Glosses. With twenty-four shades, in three different effects (sparkling, pearly and pure) to choose from, the new Addict Glosses give lips a stunning, high-shine, almost lacquered, finish.

I was recently sent four of the new Dior Addict Glosses, and after playing around with them for a couple of weeks, can honestly say I am addicted (pun intended).

The new non-sticky, non-goopy, super creamy Dior Addict Glosses are some of the most moisturizing lip glosses I have ever tried, leaving lips feeling smooth and buttery. Despite having a more slippery texture, these glosses last nicely on the lips for a good 2-3 hours, which, for me personally, is a long time.

With the exception of 'Diablotine', which has a semi-opaque finish, these glosses, while nicely pigmented in the tube, give lips a more subtle, more sheer wash of colour (these are not opaque).

Below is more information on the four Dior Addict Glosses I was sent for review:

Dior Addict Gloss in '257 Venus':
A light creamy nude-pink with iridescent pink, green and silver shimmer, 'Venus' gives lips a gorgeous, feminine and very spring-like wash of colour, making them appear plump and healthy.

Dior Addict Gloss in '433 Delice':
A light, peachy-coral with slight pink undertones and heavy iridescent gold, pink and coral shimmer, Delice is the perfect colour for both Spring and Summer. Despite being packed with shimmer, this gloss is in no way gritty, and instead feels smooth and butter on the lips.

Dior Addict Gloss in '453-Dolly Pink':
A medium blue-toned pink with extremely finely milled iridescent silver, blue and pink shimmer, Dolly Pink gives lips an almost metallic finish, making them appear larger and more plump.

Dior Addict Gloss in '643 Diablotine':
A gorgeous coral-red with packed with gold glitter, Diablotine (my favourite colour) is the most pigmented gloss from the new collection, giving lips a semi-opaque finish. This bold, fresh colour is absolutely perfect for Summer and one I would highly recommend checking out.

Overall, I am in love with the new Dior Addict Glosses. While $31 seems like a lot to spend on a lipgloss, the formulation of these glosses is out of this world, and they feel absolutely incredible on the lips. As I mentioned above, I am a new Dior Addict addict, and actually purchased 'Dormeuse'. a gorgeous creamy pink nude, last weekend (see my haul here).

Shade (L-R): Venus, Dolly Pink, Delice, Diablotine

Sun (L-R): Venus, Dolly Pink, Delice, Diablotine

Have you tried the new Dior Addict Lip Glosses? Do you want to? Which of the colours above would you most like to get your hands on? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below.
